VectorWorks is a cross-platform CAD and BIM application designed for architecture, landscape, and entertainment design. It combines precise 2D drafting with robust 3D modeling, parametric objects, and information-rich workflows to take projects from concept through documentation. Specialized toolsets support buildings and interiors, site and terrain modeling with GIS integration, landscape planting, and lighting and rigging for live events. Integrated rendering and visualization help you iterate and present clearly. Collaboration features include project sharing and version management, and support for industry-standard formats—such as DWG/DXF, IFC, and PDF—keeps teams connected. You can automate schedules and quantity takeoffs with worksheets and extend capabilities through visual scripting (Marionette) or traditional scripting (VectorScript/Python).
